Job description

We are looking for a HVAC Service Technician to become a valued member of our amazing team!

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot, repair and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity as per the standards of Advance Heating and Cooling.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues related to HVAC equipment.
  • Conduct system tests and inspections to verify proper operation and compliance with safety standards.
  • Ability to thoroughly and professionally communicate to clients to explain findings, recommend solutions and provide accurate estimates for minor repairs and collect payments.
  • Communicate when requests are needed for major repair and install quotes.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work performed.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, regulations and mechanical codes.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and supplies of personal service truck stock.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies and best practices

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited HVAC technical program or apprenticeship.
  • Valid HVAC certification (e.g., EPA Universal, NATE).
  • 1+ years proven experience as an HVAC Technician
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of HVAC sales
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Purchase and maintain required tools- these are not provided, though they can be purchased through a company provided tool account.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to various temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stoop, kneel and crawl.

Benefits:

  • One week paid vacation for the first year of employment, 2 weeks during the next 2-5 years and 3 weeks of vacation at 6 plus years of employment.
