About the Role

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll play a vital role in supporting adults with autism in a residential home setting. Every day is an opportunity to make a positive impact by helping residents build independence, confidence, and life skills while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Providing direct care and supervision in a residential home

  • Assisting with personal care and daily living activities

  • Administering and documenting medications

  • Teaching and reinforcing independent living and life skills

  • Providing transportation to appointments and community activities

  • Creating daily structure and meaningful engagement

  • Completing required documentation accurately and professionally

  • Supporting the overall day-to-day operation of the residence

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or higher degree (diploma or transcripts required)

  • Must be at least 20 years of age

  • Valid, non-probationary New Jersey driver's license

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to interact professionally and respectfully with individuals with autism

  • Must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, including:

    • Background Check

    • Central Registry

    • CARI

    • DMV Check

    • Fingerprinting

    • Drug Screening

    • Physical Examination

    • PPD Testing
