At the present time, a vacancy exists for an Adult Education Instructors (food safety and phlebotomy) within the Career, Technical and Customized Education division of the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position is temporary for the duration of the program.
Summary of Position:
Provide quality occupational instruction to post-secondary career and technical students to prepare them for a successful career path in a specific occupation.
Qualifications:
For Food Safety
  • National Restaurant Association Food Safety Instructor/Proctor certification
  • Related teaching experience highly desirable.
  • Candidate should possess relevant industry certifications.

For Phlebotomy
  • Industry certification in phlebotomy
  • Work experience as a phlebotomist
  • Any other relevant industry certifications, highly desirable

Major Areas of Responsibility:
  1. Maintain and practice an effective, safe program within the curriculum.
  2. Maintaining and modifying curriculum to remain current and up to date.
  3. Maintenance of appropriate professional certificate(s) and licenses if appropriate.
  4. Maintenance of appropriate industrial certifications on a regular basis.
  5. Other responsibilities as requested by the supervisor.

2025-2026 Salary: $50.00/ hour
Hours: Daytime or evenings depending on cohort schedule, length of training
