Job description

Presbyterian Medical Group in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Adult Congenital Heart Disease Cardiologist to join their interdisciplinary team. This role involves contributing to a comprehensive pediatric and adult congenital cardiology program within a thriving multispecialty clinic. The ideal candidate will possess state-of-the-art clinical expertise and a drive to lead a statewide adult congenital heart disease program.

Practice Info

  • Practice integrated in a thriving multispecialty clinic setting
  • System-Wide EPIC EMR
  • Interdisciplinary team of board-certified providers including a pediatric cardiothoracic surgeon, pediatric interventional cardiologist, and cardiologists focusing on fetal cardiology, adult congenital cardiology, electrophysiology, congenital heart disease, and acquired heart diseases in both pediatric and adult patients.

Responsibilities

  • Consult on ED, NICU and PICU patients at Presbyterian and partner hospitals
  • Assist pediatric cardiology, electrophysiology, adult congenital, and pediatric heart surgery colleagues with the management of service and inpatient consults
  • Develop and lead a statewide comprehensive adult congenital heart disease program
  • Responsible for care for patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings

  • Salary Range: $320,000 - $380,000 a year

  • An unrestricted MD degree
  • Eligible for licensure in the State of New Mexico
  • Board certification in either pediatric or adult cardiology
  • Fellowship training or extensive experience in adult congenital heart disease
  • Board certification or eligibility in adult congenital heart disease preferred
  • A minimum of two years of congenital heart clinical practical experience preferred
  • J-1 waiver process support available
