Job Summary
  • Develop a strategy and implement a proactive process for capturing customer online reviews. Monitor online ratings and respond accordingly.
  • Monitor trends in Social Media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding the business. Report notable threats to appropriate management.
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising the Social Media campaigns.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (best practices) for measuring the impact of Social Media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
  • Conduct online advocacy and open stream for cross-promotions.
  • Develop and expand community and/or blogger outreach efforts.
  • Oversee design (ie: Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blog).
  • Design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns.
  • Compile report for management showing results (ROI).
  • Work with Operations Manager to determine next steps to better social media strategy
  • Plan and execute with Promotions Coordinator on ways to get social media fans into listeners
  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written).
  • Apply current tools and technologies to assist with station remotes and events
  • Train and mentor assistants and volunteers
  • Adhere to all Policy and Procedures
  • Report any and all violations to GM and OM

Required Qualifications
  • All students must have completed one or more of the following courses: In house WIT Training Course, COMM 3351-Radio Program Production, COMM-3352 Fundamentals of Television Production, COMM-3353 Fundamentals of Film & Video Production, COMM 4421-Radio Practicum, and COMM-3354 Digital Social Media & Society.
  • Must be enrolled at UWG in a minimum of 6 credit hours and have a 2.0 GPA.
  • Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions
  • Frequently moves Audio/Visual equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across campus for various classrooms and events needs
