Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field
  • Illinois Professional Educator License with School Nurse endorsement - OR - Registered Nurse with IEP Designation from the Illinois State Board of Education
  • Holds a current and unrestricted RN license in the State of Illinois
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in Nursing
  • Has current CPR certification or CPR Instructor's certification
  • Knowledge of the nursing process and community health nursing
  • Knowledge of current trends in healthcare delivery and treatment
  • Knowledge of the medical, legal, and ethical aspects of nursing
  • Knowledge of age-appropriate anticipatory guidance and health issues or concerns
  • Working knowledge of community, medical, and social services resources
  • Ability to assess student needs, formulate care plans, and evaluate plans of care
  • Ability to provide culturally competent care
  • Ability to monitor and record client-related outcomes and observations
  • Ability to understand and implement standing orders and administer therapeutic prescriptions
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, parents, students, and medical professionals
  • Ability to work within guidelines established by District policies and/or grants
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

Compensation
  • The entry level base salary for this position is expected to be approximately $71,019, plus highly competitive benefits, including 100% Board-paid IMRF contributions and 100% Board-paid employee-only health, dental, and term life insurance. There is a minimal employee cost for vision insurance. Additional compensation above the base is offered for those with previous successful experience. A copy of the Administrative Salaries & Fringe Benefits document is attached. Questions about salaries or fringe benefits should be directed to the Human Resources Office.
