Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Meet qualifications for State CNA II certification

  • Successful completion of a Board-approved Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) training program

  • Passed MA-C competency evaluation


Shift Differentials:

• Evening (2p–10p): +$1.00/hr
• Night (10p–6a): +$0.80/hr
• Weekend (Fri 2p – Mon 6a): +$2.00/hr

Job Summary:

Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness is looking for a Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) to administers prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under supervision of Nurse. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, clinically sound professional, with a passion for providing quality care to the residents we are entrusted to care for. 

Essential Functions:

  • Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.

  • Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified processes. 

  • Takes vital signs 

  • Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.

  • Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to resident.

  • Record and restock medication inventories.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

  • Active certification in the state of Wyoming as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

  • Must hold or be eligible for Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) in Wyoming

  • Meets qualifications for CNA II certification (as required by state guidelines)

  • Successful completion of a Board-approved MA-C training program and competency evaluation

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to safely administer medications under nurse supervision
