Job description

Requirements
  • D365 F&SCM Technical Expertise:
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (F&O)
  • Strong background in X++ development and D365 technical architecture patterns
  • Deep knowledge of D365 extensibility: extensions (no overlayering), event handlers, CoC (Chain of Command)
  • Mastery of Data Entities, DIXF/Data Management Framework, and Business Events
  • Experience with Lifecycle Services (LCS), Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps for D365 ALM
  • Familiarity with D365 performance tooling: Trace Parser, SQL insights, LCS monitoring
  • Integration Architecture:
  • Proven experience designing enterprise integrations using Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus, APIM, Event Grid, Data Factory)
  • Strong understanding of synchronous vs. asynchronous integration patterns and when to apply each
  • Hands-on experience with OData, REST APIs, and SOAP-based integrations in D365 context
  • Experience with Dual-write / Dataverse integration scenarios
  • Ability to design for resilience: dead-letter handling, idempotency, retry policies, circuit breakers
  • Familiarity with middleware platforms and ESB patterns
  • Cloud & DevOps:
  • Solid Azure platform knowledge: compute, storage, networking, and security fundamentals relevant to D365 deployments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies, and ALM in D365 projects
  • Understanding of Azure Active Directory, managed identities, and OAuth 2.0 in integration security
  • Soft Skills & Delivery Experience:
  • Experience delivering complex, multi-country ERP implementations
  • Ability to communicate architecture concepts clearly to both technical and business stakeholders
  • Comfortable operating across the full project lifecycle: discovery, design, build, test, go-live, and hypercare

Nice to have
  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) in enterprise D365 context
  • Knowledge of D365 Finance or SCM functional processes (GL, AR/AP, procurement, inventory, WMS, manufacturing)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and AI capabilities in Finance & Operations apps
  • Experience with ISV solutions commonly layered on D365 F&SCM
  • Microsoft certifications: MB-500 (D365 Finance & Operations Developer), AZ-204 (Azure Developer), or AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect)
  • Background in large enterprise, multi-wave ERP rollouts
  • Exposure to Dynamics AX 2012 migrations to D365 cloud

Responsibilities
  • Solution Architecture & Design:
  • Design end-to-end technical architecture for D365 F&SCM solutions, including integration landscape, data architecture, and customisation strategy
  • Produce Solution Blueprint documents, architecture decision records (ADRs), and technical design documents
  • Define and enforce best practices for development, extensions (no overlayering), and system performance
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with Microsoft's recommended methods
  • Conduct fit/gap analysis and translate business requirements into technical designs
  • Integration & Data:
  • Own the integration architecture across all workstreams - ERP to ERP, ERP to CRM, ERP to third-party, and cloud-native services
  • Design data migration strategies and govern data quality and data architecture throughout the project lifecycle
  • Define and review integration security, error handling, retry logic, and operational monitoring
  • Evaluate and recommend Azure Integration Services components appropriate to each use case
  • Technical Leadership:
  • Provide technical oversight and mentoring to development and integration teams
  • Collaborate with Functional Architects and Consultants to bridge business and technical domains
  • Define DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, ALM governance, LCS environment strategy, and release management
  • Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are met across all technical deliverables
  • Drive performance optimisation and proactive troubleshooting in complex environments
  • Presales & Client Engagement:
  • Support presales activities including solution design, estimation, and RFP responses
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, guiding them on architecture trade-offs and Microsoft platform direction
  • Contribute to capability building, internal communities of practice, and knowledge sharing
