Job description

Title: Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Neuropsychologist to join a growing outpatient behavioral health organization in New Jersey. This position focuses primarily on comprehensive neuropsychological and autism evaluations for children and adolescents, while providing occasional care for adults as needed. The ideal candidate is passionate about evidence-based assessment, multidisciplinary collaboration, and improving outcomes for patients and their families.
Day to Day:
  • Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for children (ages 4+), adolescents, and adults as needed.
  • Independently perform Autism evaluations utilizing ADOS-2 and other validated assessment tools.
  • Assess cognitive, developmental, behavioral, emotional, and psychological functioning.
  • Prepare comprehensive diagnostic reports with individualized treatment and educational recommendations.
  • Provide feedback sessions to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with schools and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care.
  • Supervise psychometrists, trainees, and post-doctoral fellows.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation.
  • Manage approximately 5-8 evaluations per week (averaging 6 autism evaluations weekly) and approximately 2 patient cases per day.

Shift:
  • Full-time
  • 4 days onsite (split between Freehold and Point Pleasant, NJ)
  • 1 remote day per week (typically Monday)
  • Flexible schedule between 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Approximately 25-30 patient-facing hours per week

Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Active New Jersey Psychologist License.
  • Formal postdoctoral training in Neuropsychology (pediatric specialization preferred).
  • ADOS-2 training and the ability to independently conduct Autism evaluations.
  • Experience with pediatric trauma, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and complex psychiatric conditions.
  • Strong proficiency in cognitive, developmental, and neuropsychological assessments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in both Freehold and Point Pleasant, NJ locations.
