Summary:The Manufacturing Engineer applies knowledge and skills concerned with all primary aircraft systems critical to the performance of the aircraft and flows down contractual requirements to ensure the product conforms to its intended form, fit, and function. Determines the parts, equipment, and tools needed to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications and plans the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to HCOA approved Operation Procedures, Quality Conformance, Testing, and Technical Data or Directive.Responsibilities:Provide their internal customers with correct products and services, on-time.Create, communicate, and accomplish daily department schedules.Retain part traceability throughout the manufacturing process.Utilize Cetec ERP to keep program data current.Full and complete understanding of HWI 42301-1 series and all other pertinent HCOA Operation Procedures or Work Instructions.Review's customer supplied data packages, specifications, internal processes, and quality requirements for manufacturing compliance.Compose part specific manufacturing instructions including material usage, process requirements, manufacturing method guidance, and labor time estimation.Works directly with other departments via an ERP system to ensure effective material resource planning.Provides production team support to address any issues, nonconformances, and technical data interpretation.Performs manufacturing process reviews by studying product requirements; applying knowledge of fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; soliciting observations from operators.Produces technical data as necessary to assist with manufacturing including 2D reference drawings and cut files for 2D machining.
