We are in search of an experienced, professional, outside Regional Sales Manager to find, lead, and close sales in the Midwest and Western United States, and Mexico. We have a well-established presence in the Aerospace, Medical, Transportation and Manufacturing Industries. The base pay range is between $65,000 - $72,000, based on experience. Commission is also paid with no cap. Historically; this position has paid $110-145K in total compensation. This is a very lucrative opportunity for a P.O. "Hunter". This position enables the employee to work from a home office when not traveling to customers. Periodically, the employee will be asked to come to the Schaumburg headquarters for sales meetings. Face-to-face contact with customers is very important to us. Our expectation is that the employee will travel to customer locations a minimum of three days a week.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining relationships with existing OEMs/Dealers/End-users while establishing new clients to increase sales activity
- Serving as an initial technical "go to" person to gather facts, make recommendations and solutions to manufacturing challenges presented by OEMs, dealers, and job shops
- Collecting and entering sales lead information and new/updated customer information within Sage CRM
- Coordinating trade show and customer open house presence, promotional materials, and event support
- Working closely with the Inside Sales Team to receive quotes, explain tooling or workholding solutions and details to customers, and arrange travel to customer sites
- Timely submission of expense reports and adherence to established company guidelines
- Willingness to support the team with other responsibilities based on your strengths and to continuously build new capabilities
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- A technical electrical and/or mechanical education; an associate or bachelor’s degree in an electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical field of study is a plus but not required
- Experience with EDM, Milling, and Grinding a must. Familiarity with Laser Micro-machining and Additive Manufacturing is a plus
- A solid understanding of Rotary Tables, Workholding/Fixturing, and Machining Fluids
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams
- Familiarity with commercial CRM software; experience with Sage CRM a plus
- Highly organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects
