Job description

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location.
Your Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, assists in the design, integration, or improvement of manufacturing systems or related processes. Works with others to develop efficient systems, processes and tooling that result in high-quality products which conform to customer requirements. Understands capabilities for each production process and product available. Recommends improvements to manufacturing processes for maximum efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.

Your Challenge:
  • Performs simple operational or methods analyses regarding manufacturing process flow and work instruction. Assists with operational or methods analyses related to labor standards for use in conducting manufacturing operations.
  • Assist in the evaluation of engineering changes and/or other specifications requirements. May interface with design engineering in coordinating the release of new or existing products and conduct reviews of engineering drawings prior to release.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes, with guidance, simple manufacturing engineering activities such as routine operational or methods analyses related to labor standards, reviews product/project flow data, tooling, equipment, and labor requirements for use in conducting manufacturing operations to increase productivity and reduce production unit cost. Documents, reports, publishes, and make technical or other presentations.
  • Under direction, assists with the design of experiments, data collection and interpretation, and analyses supporting investigations related to simple problem resolution. Maintains manufacturing standard procedures, which defines specific manufacturing processes. Writes analysis and test reports.
  • Acts as technical liaison with other personnel such as design, quality, procurement, inspection, and production in project team or technical meetings. Participate in project team or technical team meetings by active listening and asking questions. Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.

What You Bring:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 3 years experience
  • GD&T
  • Ability to create models and drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies and design reviews. Capable of coordinating multiple project responsibilities. Must be a team player and have knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to perform analysis and studies with strong attention to details in a fast-paced environment.
  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
