Job description


Tridium is the inventor of the Niagara Framework, an IoT software framework that solves the challenges of managing smart devices, in real time, over the Internet. The Niagara Framework is Tridium's core technology that supports an ecosystem of innovators who deliver powerful IoT solutions across a wide range of industries including energy services, building automation, and industrial automation. That ecosystem has successfully deployed over 1,300,000 instances of Niagara worldwide.
As a Test Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for testing the Niagara Framework and related embedded controllers across a variety of configurations. You will build new test fixtures and perform root cause analysis of device failures.
You will execute test plans and procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define test requirements and analyze test results, contributing to product improvements and innovation.
You will report to an Engineering Manager responsible for Tridium's Test and Tools Team. You will work out of our Richmond, VA location on an on-site work schedule.
In this role, you will impact the success of our engineering projects by ensuring thorough testing and validation of product performance, helping to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build Test Fixtures to test our building controller and related products
  • Validate key building protocols (BACnet, Modbus, etc)
  • Build test fixtures utilizing your knowledge of physical wiring practices for 24V AC/DC power, RS-485, Ethernet, etc
  • Execute test plans and procedures to validate product performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine test requirements and specifications
  • Analyze test data and provide actionable recommendations for product improvements

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in test engineering or related roles
  • Minimum of 2 years of building controls experience (Niagara Framework or similar)
  • Experience with hardware and software integration testing techniques
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities
  • Continuous learning mindset and passion for innovation

The annual base salary range for this position is $83,200,00 - $104,100.00 Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
