Job description

Description:

SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Develops, implements and administers cost-effective benefits programs such as pension plans and life, health and disability insurance


SCOPE: Reviewing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures to support ADA compliance across various aspects of the organization and to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other relevant regulations.


REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

Policy Oversight and Compliance Monitoring

Review/update and implement ADA policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Collaborate with relevant departments to integrate ADA considerations into existing policies. Regularly review and assess the organization's compliance with ADA regulations. Investigate and address complaints related to ADA violations in partnership with HR and Legal.

Training and Awareness

Conduct training sessions to educate employees on ADA regulations, requirements, and best practices.

Promote awareness, training and understanding of ADA principles throughout the organization. Provide consultation and information to business partners to resolve inquiries.

Accommodation Processes

Manage the process for handling accommodation requests from employees.

Collaborate with HR, facilities, and other departments to implement reasonable accommodations.

Digital Accessibility

Oversee efforts to ensure digital platforms, websites, and online content are accessible.

Collaborate with IS and web development teams to address accessibility issues and implement solutions.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate records of ADA-related activities and accommodations. Prepare reports on ADA compliance for internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


Required:
·Bachelor's degree in a related field
· 5 - 7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
