Job Summary:

The Iowa Welcome Center in Dubuque is seeking a dynamic and friendly individual to join our team as a Guest Services Associate. In this role, you will be the face of our center, providing exceptional customer service and assistance to visitors from near and far. From offering travel information to sharing local attractions, your passion for hospitality will ensure that every guest has a memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome visitors to the Iowa Welcome Center with warmth and enthusiasm.

  2. Provide information about local attractions, events, accommodations, and dining options.

  3. Assist visitors with trip planning, including itinerary suggestions and travel routes.

  4. Answer inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email, demonstrating excellent communication skills.

  5. Maintain a clean and organized environment within the welcome center, including brochure displays and visitor information areas.

  6. Process transactions for merchandise sales, brochure orders, and other visitor-related services.

  7. Perform other duties as assigned by the Welcome Center Manager.

Schedule Requirements:

  • While the Welcome Center offers a flexible schedule, candidates must be available to work 1 to 2 weekends a month.

  • This position offers more hours during the late spring, summer, and early fall months, corresponding to peak tourism seasons. Hours may vary and decrease during the late fall and winter months.
