Retail Operation Associates
For more than 50 years, Bass Pro Shops has built stores that feel like a destination, not just a stop. That takes a team behind the scenes - and that team is who we're building now for our new Outpost at Eastview Mall in Victor, NY. As an Operations & Fulfillment Associate, you'll help turn a 90,000-square-foot space into a store that's always ready for an adventure, and you'll help set the pace as one of our founding Victor associates.
Departments You Could Call Home, Full Time and Part Time Positions!
  • Receiving, the first stop for every shipment that comes through our doors
  • Overnight Stock, transform the sales floor while the store sleeps
  • Maintenance, Facilities & Landscape, keep the store and grounds in top shape
  • Buy Online, Ship to Store (BOSS), get online orders into customers' hands

Position Summary
The Operations & Fulfillment Associate keeps the store running behind the scenes in receiving and stocking merchandise, fulfilling online and ship-to-store orders, and maintaining the building and grounds so customers always find a clean, well-stocked, adventure-ready store.
Essential Functions
  • Unloads, unpacks and verifies incoming merchandise shipments against purchase orders (Receiving).
  • Stocks and replenishes merchandise on the sales floor, often during overnight hours, per Merchandising guidelines (Overnight Stock).
  • Picks, packs and processes Buy Online, Ship to Store and in-store pickup orders accurately and within required timeframes (BOSS).
  • Performs routine building, equipment, and grounds / landscape maintenance and minor repairs.
  • Assists with "Seasonal" floor merchandise moves and resets.
  • Operates material handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) as trained and certified.
  • Keeps the stockroom, dock and work areas clean, organized and safe.
  • Follows all Company Policies and Procedures, including safety procedures.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

Experience / Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School education or equivalent experience
  • Forklift or other equipment certification a plus (training provided)

Skills & Qualities You'll Bring
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with minimal supervision, especially overnight
  • Basic math skills for accurate counts and orders
  • Safe, confident use of equipment and tools (we'll train you)
  • A team-first attitude, ready to pitch in wherever needed

Physical Requirements
  • An active, hands-on role: frequent standing, walking, bending and climbing ladders/stairs
  • Regularly lifts and moves items up to 20 lbs; routinely lifts 100+ lbs with a team lift or equipment
  • Frequent use of machinery, power tools, and possibly vehicles or heavy equipment
  • Some outdoor work in varying weather (Landscape), tight spaces and noise

Independent Judgement
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems (e.g., damaged shipments, order discrepancies). Often makes recommendations to improve workflow, safety and stocking procedures.
