What are AD CVD investigations?

AD CVD investigations refer to 'Antidumping (AD) and Countervailing Duties (CVD)' investigations, which are trade enforcement actions initiated by governments to determine whether imported goods are being sold at less than fair value (dumped) or are benefiting from unfair government subsidies. If such practices are found to be harming domestic industries, additional duties may be imposed to level the playing field. These investigations are critical to maintaining fair trade and protecting domestic producers from unfair competition. The process typically involves detailed analysis of pricing, subsidies, and injury to local industries.
