Job description

STUDIO OVERVIEW

Serasana means “To Be Healthy” and our mission is to create a community of hope and healing. Serasana is a Wellness Studio that fuses ancient wellness practices, specializing in rejuvenation through stress and pain management by blending acupuncture, yoga, massage, healing tea and remedies.


We are looking for licensed acupuncturists to join our team at Serasana . Our environment is unique, we have a beautiful tea bar and a thoughtful retail selection that supports our therapists. We have seven treatment rooms with space to offer group acupuncture two days per week. 


We are located at 28818 Cinco Ranch Blvd., Katy TX. 


RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Understand the Serasana model of health and wellness and work together with fellow team members to help our clients take full advantage of available offerings.
  • Meet with clients to obtain information about their concerns, symptoms, medical history, diet, lifestyle, and psychological health.
  • Make diagnoses, according to Chinese Medicine and determine session strategies.
  • Explain procedures to clients and prepare them for session.
  • Identify precise locations on client’s body where needles should be inserted, or where electrical or heat stimulation is to be applied.
  • Competent with the following modalities: acupuncture, gua sha, cupping, moxibustion and electrical stimulation of the needles. 
  • Following each session, consult with the client about other therapies, diet, exercise, and overall wellness. Suggest appropriate inclusion of herbal medicine and provide client with a treatment plan using our Wellness Prescription (Rx).
  • Evaluate session outcomes and maintain client records as SOAP Notes.
  • Comply with quality, safety, and infection-prevention protocols, as well as laws and regulations.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements, read trade journals, and keep up-to-date on industry practices and regulations.
  • Clean and sanitize therapy rooms and equipment used after sessions.
  • Attend and participant in meetings and training.
  • Report to the Owner/Manager


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Current acupuncture license

  • Up to date on continuing education

  • Current personal liability insurance


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 


  • Frequent bending at the waist

  • Brisk walking and keen eyesight 

  • Ability to assist clients with disabilities

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.


EQUIPMENT OPERATED 

Computer, Smart phone or iPad, Washer, Dryer, TDP lamps, silicone and gun suction style cups, TENS unit.

Competitive per session compensation + tip + commission
