Job description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned small animal practice that combines traditional veterinary care with integrative medicine, and they are seeking a Medical Director to lead their growing team. The clinic treats cats and dogs exclusively and is known for its holistic approach, blending conventional treatments with complementary therapies.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working four days per week, Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with Saturdays on a rotational basis. There are no after-hours or on-call requirements, offering a structured schedule and excellent work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you will play a key role in both clinical delivery and leadership within the practice. Alongside providing high-quality care through 30-minute consultations, you will help guide clinical standards, mentor and support the veterinary team, and contribute to the overall direction of the hospital. The caseload includes a blend of general practice and integrative services such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, and Chinese herbal therapy. You will have the opportunity to influence clinical protocols, support the development of integrative services, and foster a positive, collaborative culture. The practice provides a progressive, patient-focused environment that supports continued learning and a well-rounded approach to care.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs, supported by 4 assistants, a receptionist, and an office manager, and they are looking to add a Medical Director to lead the clinical team and support continued growth. The culture is collaborative and supportive, making it an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys mentoring others and shaping the future of a forward-thinking, integrative practice.
