Role Description
We're seeking a Planner/Buyer who will forecast demand, plan raw material requirements, and manage production schedules for both internal manufacturing and external suppliers. Partner with cross-functional teams to balance capacity, inventory, and customer needs while ensuring on-time production and resolving scheduling issues.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Corporate Headquarters in Somerville, New Jersey with an expectation of three days per week in the office.
What You'll Do:
  • Generate Purchase orders and track status using Acumatica
  • Daily review of back orders - disseminates status delivery updates to all stakeholders
  • Monitor and enter Transfers and Production Orders in Acumatica
  • Coordinate components supply in support of the production schedule
  • Create, maintain and adjust production schedules with internal and external manufacturing/assemblers as necessary.
  • Act as liaison between manufacturing plants/assemblers, Engineering and QC to address and troubleshoot production or quality issues immediately
  • Monitor and correct inventory errors as necessary.
  • Other duties assigned by management in support of the planning operations

Education
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field preferred.

Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in planning, purchasing, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and reporting tools.
  • Experience using Acumatica ERP strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain operations.

Skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and vendor relationship management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities with the drive to learn and bring innovation to the table.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively with a degree of flexibility.

Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS/CPIM certification preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial products, construction materials, or related industries.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
