Our Care FocusWe are a leading provider of senior healthcare services, specializing in post-acute care. We offer services ranging from comprehensive short-term rehabilitation and transitional care to Alzheimer's and dementia care.Scope of the RoleThe Activities Director leads a structured, resident-centered activities program that supports physical, cognitive, and psychosocial well-being. This position exists to ensure engaging, therapeutic recreation services are planned, delivered, and documented in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements.Key responsibilities include planning and directing the Activity Department; completing and documenting resident assessments; developing individualized therapeutic recreation plans; maintaining activity calendars, care plan input, and required records; coordinating on- and off-site events; recruiting, training, and supervising recreation staff; overseeing volunteers; supporting budget planning; and promoting programs through appropriate community outreach.Required qualifications/skills:- Bachelor’s degree in therapeutic recreation or equivalent training/experience- Minimum two (2) years’ therapeutic recreation experience- Experience in a setting serving similar residents; one (1) year supervisory experience preferred- Working knowledge of compliance standards, documentation expectations, and program evaluation- Professional communication, organization, and a compassionate, team-oriented approachIf you’re ready to help create meaningful daily engagement for residents, apply today.A Typical WorkdayYour day runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with time split between the activity areas and your workspace.
