Activities Assistant CNA Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and implementing a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for residents/patients, considering their individual interests and abilities.
  • Provide hands-on assistance and support to residents/patients during activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and enjoyment.
  • Encourage resident/patient participation in activities and facilitate social interactions to promote a sense of community and belonging.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident/patient participation in activities and any observations or changes in behavior or mood.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including nursing staff, therapists, and social workers, to integrate activity programs into the overall care plan.
  • Modify activities as needed to accommodate the diverse needs and preferences of residents/patients, including those with physical or cognitive limitations.
  • Assist with the procurement and organization of supplies, equipment, and materials needed for activities.
  • Communicate regularly with residents/patients, families, and team members to solicit feedback, address concerns, and promote engagement in activities.
