Job description

Activities Assistant – Bring the Fun to the Bay!

Do you have a creative spark, an outgoing personality, and a passion for making people smile? The Residence at Presque Isle Bay is looking for an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to join our team in Erie!

In this role, you aren't just "planning events"—you’re creating joy and keeping our residents connected, active, and engaged. If you want a job where you can bring your hobbies to work (whether it's music, art, games, or fitness), this is the place for you.

A Schedule That Works for You

We know life is busy, so we offer a "Real Talk" approach to scheduling that prioritizes balance:

  • Hours: Part-Time (20–29 hours per week).
  • Daytime Flexibility: Shifts are scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
  • The Perks: We offer flexible start and end times within those hours to help you balance school, family, or other interests.
  • Weekends: Includes a rotating weekend schedule to keep things fair for the whole team.
  • Special Events: Occasional evening events may be requested for holidays or family nights (we’ll give you plenty of heads-up!).

Why You’ll Love the Activities Team
  • The "Office" View: Work in a beautiful community overlooking the bay—the perfect backdrop for creative programs.
  • Express Yourself: Have a great idea for a club, a craft, or a themed party? We want to hear it! We encourage our team to bring their own unique talents to the table.
  • Meaningful Impact: You get to be the highlight of our residents' day, helping them stay sharp, social, and happy.
  • A Supportive "Pack": Join a team that values transparency and works together to make every day a celebration.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead the Way: Host a variety of activities including games, exercise classes, arts and crafts, and social hours.
  • One-on-One Moments: Spend quality time with residents who prefer smaller settings, providing companionship and engagement.
  • Plan amp; Prep: Assist the Activities Director in prepping materials, decorating for holidays, and organizing outings.
  • Share the Joy: Help transport residents to and from activity areas and encourage everyone to join the fun!

Who We’re Looking For
  • The Life of the Party: You are high-energy, patient, and love interacting with people.
  • The Reliable Creative: You show up on time and ready to dive into the day’s events.
  • The Team Player: You’re happy to jump in and help out wherever needed to ensure our residents have a great experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in activities, hospitality, or working with seniors is a plus, but a great attitude is our #1 requirement!

Ready to get paid to have fun? Apply today and join the vibrant community at The Residence at Presque Isle Bay!
