Activities Assistant

Part-Time - Saturday/Sunday

Job Summary:

Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness is looking for someone who has a kind approach with the elderly, is a good listener, can build rapport easily, and has good communication skills. If you are interested in making a difference in our residents lives and can work collaboratively with others, we would love to have you apply for our Activities Assistant position and be apart of the Evergreen Healthcare Group family.

Essential Functions:

  • Implement group programming that promotes interaction between residents.

  • Notifies residents and staff of activity schedules.

  • Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director in order to provide:

    • A friendly visitor.

    • Sensory stimulation.

    • Reality orientation.

    • A means of meeting individual needs as outlined in each resident’s Activity Plan.

  • Selects residents and communicates with nursing personnel for purpose of assistance in transporting residents to and from general activity areas.

  • Responsible for general housekeeping duties in Activity areas
