Site Manager - Site Superintendent
ACS is looking for a Site Manager - Site Superintendent to join our team.
ACS specializes in the engineering, integration and construction of technically complex R&D and production equipment, controls, and facilities. With a positive, collaborative company culture, we are proud to have been named a "Top Workplace" since 2019.
The Site Manager - Site Superintendent will manage the on-site construction activities at our projects located throughout the United Stated. Ideally. Primary responsibilities include being ACS' point of contact at the project site, and be responsible for the successful execution of projects, including close coordination with the customer and the ACS project team. All employees are expected to assist, to the extent of their abilities, in carrying out the work needed to ultimately deliver a quality product to our clients, within budget and on schedule.
Basic requirements include:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture is preferred. Experience and/or course work in mechanical systems a bonus.
  • Work experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Experience must include ability to read drawings, manage subcontractors' work, and effectively manage project schedules and deadlines.
  • Knowledge with MS Project scheduling software will be of an advantage.
  • Expected to meet client deadlines, including balancing multiple tasks and responding to changes in deadline, scope and design as they occur.
  • Strong ability of safety violation prevention and detection. Highly effective in communication and documentation of safe work practices.
  • Demonstrates good technical writing and oral communication skills.
  • Must have the following personal skills and characteristics: Problem solving skills, strong organizational and time management skills, team player, takes initiative to improve personal skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with all internal and external levels and groups.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to travel and be assigned to client locations for extended periods while projects are in progress is a requirement.
