Job description

Play a pivotal role building and leading the accounting function primarily for Feastables and other Beast Industries CPG endeavors; owning GAAP-compliant reporting, inventory accounting, and scalable financial operations.

As Accounting Manager, CPG, you will play a critical role in bringing our accounting operations in-house and establishing scalable, best-in-class financial practices. This individual will manage the financial close process for this business unit, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the division's ledger. As the organization scales, this role will play a critical part in enhancing close operations, supporting audits, and contributing to financial system improvements.

The Role

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Accounting Manager will own the financial close process for Feastables and other CPG areas, ensure regulatory and banking compliance, and maintain the integrity of financial reporting. You will serve as a key partner during external audits, collaborate with cross-functional leaders, support system implementations, and drive process improvements to accelerate the close cycle. This role is ideal for a hands-on operator with a strong technical foundation and a builder mentality.

What You'll Do
  • Own and execute all core accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities in partnership with key internal stakeholders
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable financial systems, controls, and processes to support accurate forecasting and budgeting
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and industry regulations, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Manage inventory accounting and balance sheet integrity, including annual and ongoing reconciliations within NetSuite
  • Own monthly close, compliance reporting, and variance analysis to support continuous performance improvement
  • Partner closely with Supply Chain to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable financial reporting
  • Oversee controllership responsibilities, including inventory management and internal controls execution
What You'll Bring
  • 7+ years of hands-on accounting experience in the Food & Beverage CPG industry
  • CPA required
  • SOX experience preferred
  • Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm highly desirable
  • Deep knowledge of accounting operations, financial controls, and systems within Food & Beverage CPG
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring and developing others
  • Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to collaborate across functions
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter mindset with comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP or similar accounting systems

The target total compensation ranges from $149,500 - $172,500 including a fixed annual salary of $130,000 - $150,000, an employee equity plan grant, bonus, plus comprehensive benefits.

Equity grants are issued in good faith, subject to company policies, board approval, and individual eligibility.
