What You Will Do:
As a Manager in Guidehouse's Financial Management (FM) practice supporting Department of Justice clients, you will bring a vast range of experiences across financial management, accounting, audit, internal controls, and financial policy to lead initiatives that transform core financial management functions and operations. Our finance transformation consultants help our clients across the Department of Justice optimize all elements of their financial management structure by transforming business processes, enhancing the efficiency of operations, improving transparency and performance management, promoting change management, and complying with Federal laws and regulations. This role focuses on driving finance and accounting domain excellence while leveraging technology solutions to deliver actionable insights, enhance operational efficiency, enable auditability, and modernize financial processes in alignment with federal standards.
Responsibilities of this role are as follows, to include but not limited to:
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of initiatives that modernize financial operations, improve transparency, and strengthen performance management for Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture clients.
  • Provide overall program management, leadership, and oversight for all task areas.
  • Oversee execution and delivery of financial reporting, audit, data quality, program operations, and financial management support services.
  • Coordinate with leadership, CORs, and Government stakeholders to ensure alignment with priorities, schedules, and funding constraints.
  • Manage staffing, resource allocation, and task prioritization across all labor categories.
  • Monitor contract performance, risks, and issues; implement mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the Government COR.
  • Monitor contractor compliance with contract terms, DOJ policy, OMB guidance, and applicable federal standards.
  • Provide executive-level reporting, metrics, dashboards, and status briefings.
  • Support leadership with respect to legislative, policy, and FOIA matters at the oversight and coordination level, not execution.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and quality assurance across contractor teams.
  • Maintain integrated master schedule for deliverables and Government suspense dates (PBCs, quarterly notes, NFR/CAP cycles).
  • Ensure traceability standards are met for all analytical products (source system, extract date, query/report ID, version)

What You Will Need:
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, project management or related field.
  • TEN (10) or more years of experience leading Federal financial, budget, and/or audit support projects, preferably serving as an audit liaison to external Federal auditors and managing multi-disciplinary teams supporting data quality, audit, and financial management.
  • Experience supporting Federal programs with legislative, policy, or FOIA coordination.

What Would Be Nice To Have:
  • Preferred professional certifications include Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM - AGA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA - AICPA), Project Management Professional (PMP - PMI), and Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM - ASMC).
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; basic proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and quantitative reasoning; ability to collaborate effectively and communicate clearly; exposure to Python, SQL, or data visualization tools; internship or academic project experience in federal financial management or analytics; interest in automation (RPA), AI, or data engineering concepts; and familiarity with USSGL, GTAS, or federal accounting principles.

The annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
