Job description

We have been exclusively engaged by a fast-growing, privately held food and beverage manufacturer seeking an Accounting Manager to help strengthen its accounting operations during an exciting period of growth.

This is an ideal opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys owning the month-end close, delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, and partnering with leadership to support sound business decisions. You'll play a key role in improving processes, implementing a new ERP system, and helping build the accounting infrastructure needed to support the company's continued expansion.

Working directly alongside a CFO with a proven track record of developing future finance leaders, you'll have the opportunity to broaden your responsibilities and grow your career as the organization continues to scale.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP while providing meaningful reporting to executive leadership.
  • Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end analyses.
  • Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Play a key role in the company's ERP implementation and ongoing systems enhancements.
  • Partner with operations, inventory, and production teams to improve financial visibility and support business decisions.
  • Assist with cost accounting, inventory accounting, and margin reporting.
  • Mentor and develop members of the accounting team while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or a multi-entity environment.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and the month-end close process.
  • Experience improving accounting processes and implementing best practices.
  • Advanced Excel skills; ERP implementation or optimization experience is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, business-minded accounting professional who enjoys partnering with leadership, meeting deadlines, and driving continuous improvement.
