Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to support the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial reporting. This role plays a critical part in month-end close, general ledger integrity, and financial analysis, working closely with the Accounting Manager and cross‑functional teams to ensure the company’s financial position is clearly and reliably reflected.

This position is ideal for an accountant who enjoys hands-on accounting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations, including accruals and reclassifications, and maintain supporting documentation
  • Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet and P&L variance explanations
  • Calculate and prepare monthly commission earnings
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable postings
  • Process check disbursements
  • Perform payroll coding and related journal entries
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as assigned
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and documentation

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent experience and education.
  • Three (3) years’ experience as a Staff Accountant in the area of financial statement preparation, budgeting, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.
  • Understanding of spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Must have strong knowledge of Accounting principles, including U.S. GAAP.
  • Ability to analyze financial data.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Excellent reasoning skills.
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Proven ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to travel to attend training and meetings as needed.
  • Projects a professional image in all aspects of work performance, which includes, but not limited to personal habits, demeanor and attire.
