Job description

A high-growth, well-funded technology company is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants broad exposure, meaningful ownership, and the chance to help build scalable processes within a fast-paced company.



About the Role

The Senior Accountant will report to finance leadership and play a key role in the month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and ongoing improvement of accounting processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and excited to work in an entrepreneurial environment where priorities can evolve quickly.



Responsibilities

  • Own key aspects of the monthly close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting
  • Support accounts payable, expense reporting, payroll, revenue, and other accounting processes as needed
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate accounting treatment and timely financial information
  • Assist with annual audit, tax, and compliance-related requests
  • Help develop and improve accounting policies, internal controls, processes, and documentation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve the use of systems and technology
  • Support special projects as the company continues to scale


Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public accounting and/or experience with a high-growth or technology company
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach


Required Skills

Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles, experience with month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, strong Excel skills and familiarity with ERP or accounting systems.
