Job description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a stable and expanding construction-focused organization in North Las Vegas, Nevada. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting cash activity, and helping ensure timely reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting experience, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee bank reconciliations across multiple accounts and support daily treasury activity, including monitoring and moving cash between entities as needed.
• Record and apply incoming deposits accurately, while coordinating banking transactions, uploads, and approvals to maintain reliable cash records.
• Process weekly payroll for office staff and help ensure payroll tax filings are completed correctly and on schedule.
• Support tax payment activity and assist with ongoing compliance tracking to help the organization meet regulatory obligations.
• Maintain detailed spreadsheets and financial support files used for transaction tracking, expense review, and operational analysis.
• Prepare schedules and documentation needed for year-end audit requests and collaborate with external auditors during the audit process.
• Help carry out internal control procedures and contribute to consistent accounting practices across the business.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, general ledger review, and account reconciliations.
• Take on additional accounting and finance assignments as directed by senior finance leadership.• At least 5 years of accounting experience in either public accounting or private industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting principles and core accounting processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables, lookups, and spreadsheet-based process improvement.
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
• Ability to read and write in English and/or Spanish well enough to complete documentation accurately and communicate effectively in the workplace.
