Job description

Senior Accountant – RJ’s Construction Supply 

RJ’s Construction Supply is looking for a driven and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role goes beyond accounting; you’ll also play a key part in strengthening our operational processes, improving workflows, and helping shape the financial backbone of our growing business. 


Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM 

What You’ll Do 

  • Handle critical accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, inventory & cash controls, internal audits, and financial reporting. 
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP 
  • Ensure accurate general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations 
  • Support month-end and year-end processes 
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis 
  • Develop and implement efficient accounting workflows and operational processes  
  • Partner with leadership to create, refine, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across the store  
  • Generate advanced financial reports and provide actionable insights to support decision-making  
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead implementation initiatives  
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts  
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls  

What We’re Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting  
  • 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience  
  • Proven track record of improving workflows and implementing new processes  
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and influence teams  
  • Excellent communication skills—able to collaborate across departments  
  • Advanced reporting and analytical capabilities  
  • Bilingual in Spanish (preferred, not required)
