Are you an accounting professional who enjoys solving problems, keeping financials accurate, and making a tangible impact through your work? We're seeking a Staff Accountant to help support the financial strength of a mission-driven organization that makes a difference in the lives of those it serves every day.

In this role, you'll play an important part behind the scenes by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger, and supporting sound financial decision-making. Your work will help provide the foundation that allows programs and services to continue making an impact in the community.


What You'll Do

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and post journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger records.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting reports.
  • Reconcile subsidiary ledgers and investigate variances.
  • Track revenues and expenditures across programs and funding sources.
  • Assist with budget reporting and financial analysis.
  • Support annual audit preparation and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and strong internal controls.
  • Partner with leadership and program teams to provide financial information and support decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.


What You'll Bring

  • Experience with bank reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
