State Bank Financial is seeking an accomplished commercial banking leader ready to expand their impact beyond individual production and step into the role of Market President – Business Banker for our Marshfield location. This opportunity is ideal for a senior commercial lender who has built a strong portfolio, earned deep trust within the community and is ready to lead the Marshfield market.

In this role, you will leverage relationship‑driven commercial banking expertise to drive organic growth across commercial banking while shaping credit standards, pricing discipline, and portfolio quality at the market level. You will influence market direction through strong credit judgment and relationship management and represent State Bank Financial through visible community engagement. This is a career‑defining opportunity for a proven commercial banker with 7+ years of experience who values relationship banking and the ability to make a meaningful, long‑term impact within a community‑focused financial institution.


Position Summary

Grow and manage a portfolio of commercial and commercial real estate clients in our market area. Primary focus on developing new prospective client relationships.

Relationships include clients who are users of some, or all the following financial services provided by State Bank Financial: Commercial Credit, Commercial Depository, Treasury Management, and Card products. 

The Business Banker will be responsible for profiling and cross-selling financial services such as Investments, Merchant Processing, Retail Banking, to existing customers as well as prospects. 

Operates within credit authority limits. Must be familiar with all applicable legal and regulatory laws and compliance, and monitors loan portfolio to ensure accounts are compliant. Understands and completes job 

responsibilities in accordance with federal and state compliance regulations. Ensures the highest level of customer satisfaction according to our Culture of CARE.


Essential Job Functions
  1. Responsible for loan and deposit growth through cold calling, COI leads, and other avenues of influence to grow the market share as well as retaining the existing portfolio. 
  2. Ensure the portfolio administration and risk management for each customer relationship is in compliance with the bank's credit policy, procedures and business strategy as well as regulatory guidelines. 
  3. Screen/interview applicants to determine credit needs and analyzes financial information for credit requests and makes presentations/recommendations for the appropriate financial structure through the bank’s loan approval process.
  4. Attend community events, volunteer, and serve the Bank’s community while continuing to grow visibility within the market. Actively participate in business development activities for the purpose of attracting additional profitable business for the Bank. 
  5. Utilizes government credit enhancement programs when deemed necessary to meet customer needs and Bank underwriting criteria.


Additional Duties and Responsibilities 

  1. Serve on Bank committees as needed. 
  2. Updates knowledge and develops professionally on a continuing basis. Participates in internal and external training and development opportunities as required. 
  3. Other job-related duties may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.


Software/Technology: 

Operates personal computer in a Windows environment for word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, internet/intranet and other bank specific software. Utilizes a variety of office equipment including computer, printer, fax/scanner/copier, and multi-line telephone.


Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or equivalent required. Minimum seven years of commercial banking experience and basic knowledge of business and contract laws required.

Working Conditions 

Work is performed largely in an office environment, during normal business hours. Deadline pressure is an integral part of the job. Regular mental and visual concentration for computer usage and reading/assimilating complex and technical compliance information is required. Position will alternate between walking, sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and occasional lifting up to 15 pounds of office supplies and/or documents throughout work shift.
