Job description

Winterwood, Inc. is seeking an experienced, motivated and detail oriented individual to fill the role of Staff Accountant to join our corporate office in Lexington, KY. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining the books of accounting for a portfolio of properties under Winterwood’s management. The Staff Accountant is considered part of the property team and is responsible for ensuring that the property meets required reporting requirements and operates within its annual budget.

Job Details:

  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Compensation: $60,000-$65,000per year depending on experience

Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcilemonthly bank statements.
  • Reconcilebalance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Producemonthly financial statements for a portfolio of properties.
  • Completeand distribute monthly and quarterly financial reports in accordancewith published deadlines.
  • Preparerequests to withdraw and use reserve funds.
  • Ensuremonthly mortgage, escrow, and reserve payments are made timely eachmonth for properties.
  • Prepareannual budgets for a portfolio of properties.
  • Produceannual audit work papers and reports.
  • Otherduties as assigned by the Accounting management team.
  • Willingnessand ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening, criminal background check and credit check.
