Due to continued growth,CommuniCare Health Servicesis currently recruiting for anAccountant / Financial Analyst.

The position will be based in our corporate office located in the Blue Ash section of Cincinnati, OH with hybrid work possibilities.

PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT

The Accountant / Financial Analyst position is primarily responsible for accounting/analytical needs for Communicare's Financial Leadership. The Accountant / Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Reimbursement Department in compiling data, reporting, preparing work papers and completing analysis. This includes ad hoc reporting using a variety of source systems, creation and maintenance of scorecards and dashboards.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years of accounting experience including cost accounting

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Understanding applicability of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Ability to manage highly detailed tasks with and through other staff
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
  • A positive attitude, with a high degree of ethics and personal integrity, as well as confidentiality, are traits needed to be successful in this role.
  • ERP experience highly preferred (Workday or Oracle)

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with preparation of reports necessary for Rate Analysis.
  • Account Reconciliations
  • Ad hoc requests as needed
  • Participate in and take notes at State Health Care Meetings
  • Update/Review the analysis of local competition - referrals, admissions, etc.
  • Assist in assembling underlying support for the Supplemental Payments from States
  • Update models and trackers with most current information
  • Assist with responding to information requests from State Associations
  • Assist with monthly reviews of financial statements
  • Prepare suggestions for improvement - Region at a time
  • Rate Analysis

  • Acuity/Census Analysis
