Job description

Summary: This position is responsible for clerical duties in the Deposit Operations department. The department is responsible for the deposit account document monitoring, indexing, oversight of account imaging processes and exception tracking, maintenance of customer accounts, uploading customer information from deposit software to core processing system, management of CIF accounts and related customer accounts, administration of debit card program, IRA account management, assist in developing new account procedures and related forms, maintenance of deposit software parameters and system parameters related to deposits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
  • Prepares reports from various sources and input.
  • Processes new debit card applications, orders cards, and maintains customer ATM files. Process customer card disputes. Fraud watch reporting, etc.
  • Orders customer checks and pays invoices
  • Places holds on accounts for uncollected funds.
  • Maintenance customer accounts.
  • Check back maintenance processes for accuracy.
  • Upload accounts to core processor.
  • Exception tracking.
  • Maintaining electronic filing systems for customer and Bank documents.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
A High School Diploma is required, college education would be preferred. Three to seven years banking or related experience would be preferred.
Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and/or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other employees, customers and the general public. Ability to calculate basic math figures and amounts. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office software.
Physical Demands
This position may require long periods of standing or sitting and may include long periods of typing and repetitive motion. Candidates must possess the ability to lift and carry cash drawers, coin bags, and boxes sometimes weighing as much as 25 pounds.
