Salary Range: $40 - $60/Hour (DOE)
About Us
UNFOLD is an award-winning digital creative agency based in Los Angeles, partnering with some of the world's most dynamic entertainment and brand clients. We create culturally relevant, digitally driven work that connects audiences and brands across platforms.
The Role
Our Social team is seeking an experienced Social Media Manager to help lead social strategy, content development, copywriting, and community management for entertainment clients across film, TV, and streaming. With a strong understanding of platform strategy, fan engagement, and entertainment marketing, you will guide day-to-day social execution, shape creative direction, and ensure content supports client goals.
The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in social media, digital marketing, or advertising, ideally within entertainment brands or agencies. You are comfortable translating strategy into execution, collaborating closely with clients and internal creative teams, and building social programs that grow audiences and drive engagement.
In this role, you will operate at a mid-to-senior level across multiple accounts. Responsibilities include developing content calendars, managing community engagement, creating social content, and delivering performance reporting. You will work closely with clients, designers, editors, and strategists to create timely, fan-focused campaigns. Because this role focuses heavily on entertainment and audience connection, a strong understanding of pop culture, platform trends, and fandom behavior is essential.
Here's What You'll Do
Strategy & Content Planning
  • Build monthly content calendars aligned to campaign goals, release moments, and audience behavior.
  • Partner with clients to shape social strategy, creative direction, and engagement priorities.
  • Identify platform trends, cultural moments, and audience insights to inform content planning.

Content Creation & Campaign Execution
  • Concept and create social content including promos, trailers, memes, graphics, and behind-the-scenes assets.
  • Support press launches, event coverage, and tentpole campaign moments across key social platforms.
  • Collaborate with internal creative teams to develop social-first assets for entertainment brands.

Community Management & Performance
  • Manage daily community engagement across multiple accounts with authentic, fan-focused brand voices.
  • Monitor KPIs and campaign performance to surface actionable recommendations and optimizations.
  • Deliver bi-weekly reporting that clearly communicates results, learnings, and next steps to clients.

Client & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as a day-to-day social lead for assigned entertainment clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple accounts and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to keep campaigns organized, timely, and on brief.

Here's What It Takes
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of social media, marketing, or digital advertising experience.
  • Entertainment experience across film, TV, streaming, or entertainment brands strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing content strategies, calendars, copy, and community management plans.
  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a sharp eye for creative detail.
  • Deep passion for pop culture, film, television, and entertainment marketing.
  • Proactive, self-starter mindset with strong ownership and initiative.
