Location: Remote, United States
Category: Business Intelligence
Division: Precision AQ
Business Unit: Product Solutions
Requisition Number: 7124

Unfortunately, the Engagement Support Analyst is not able to provide sponsorship now or anytime in the future. Why Join the Precision AQ Access Genius Team

Precision AQ Access Genius sits at the intersection of healthcare market access, client delivery, and technology. Our team builds and supports data-driven solutions that help clients move from requirements to reliable, high-quality deliverables. This is a strong fit for SQL engineers who want their work to have visible business impact, not simply live behind the scenes.

In this role, you will work in a collaborative delivery environment where SQL, data quality, automation, and practical engineering discipline directly influence client outcomes. You will partner with Product Delivery, Client Services, Engineering, and Product teams to solve complex data challenges, improve repeatable processes, and support scalable delivery across client programs.

We are looking for people who take pride in clean, accurate, maintainable work and who want to grow in a culture rooted in Client Service, Purpose, Accountability, Mutual Respect, and Collaboration. The best candidates will be strong Microsoft SQL developers who also value requirements clarity, thoughtful communication, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Position Summary - SQL Engineer II (SE II)

We are seeking a SQL Engineer II (SE II) to design, develop, and optimize data solutions that power client deliverables and internal products. This role operates with minimal oversight, owning complex data pipelines, SQL development, and delivery execution while maintaining high standards for quality, accuracy, and timeliness.

The SE II will spend most of their time working directly in Microsoft SQL Server, building scalable and maintainable datasets and processes that support analytics, applications, and client-facing solutions. This role collaborates closely with delivery, engineering, and client teams to translate requirements into performant and reliable data solutions.

Success in this role requires a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and consistent execution. The ideal candidate can independently manage assigned work, ask clear questions when requirements need refinement, document logic and assumptions, and deliver SQL solutions that are reliable, supportable, and aligned to client and business needs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server in a production environment.
  • Hands-on experience writing complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and data transformations.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL processes and working with large data sets.
  • Strong proficiency in query optimization, indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and performance troubleshooting.
  • Experience with data modeling, data validation, data quality checks, and root cause analysis of data defects.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD concepts, or similar delivery management and source control tools.
  • Strong accountability for delivering high-quality, accurate work on time.
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines in a fast-paced delivery environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a structured approach to problem-solving, documentation, and issue resolution.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain SQL-based data solutions supporting client and product needs.
  • Build and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and database objects for performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to integrate, transform, and validate large data sets.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
  • Translate business, delivery, and client requirements into technical SQL solutions.
  • Partner with Product Delivery, Client Services, Engineering, and Product teams to deliver client value.
  • Own assigned workstreams, meet deadlines, communicate risks early, and deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight.
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for data processes, SQL logic, assumptions, and support procedures.
  • Support production systems and resolve data-related issues in a timely, disciplined manner.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase reliability, repeatability, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and delivery planning to improve quality and shared understanding.
  • Apply established standards for change management, data handling, security, documentation, and production readiness.
