Security Officer Bicycle Patrol Specialist

As a Security Officer Bicycle Patrol Specialist in West Hollywood, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas by bicycle, maintaining a visible presence that helps deter incidents. You will engage with visitors and community members, report security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Wed 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Thur 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Fri 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Sat 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Sun 01:30 PM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, residents, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, buildings, parking areas, sidewalks, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, access issues, and policy violations to appropriate personnel, maintaining accurate activity logs and incident reports.
  • Respond to incidents, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
  • Assist with access control, directions, public information, and coordination with local authorities and/or emergency responders when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Able to ride a bike.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
