What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, residents, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned public areas, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the assigned location, documenting incidents, unusual conditions, and policy violations according to established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Maintain professional communication with the public and site representatives while providing information, directions, and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • Preferred: Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
  • Preferred: Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time.
  • Preferred: Possess a Guard Card or license.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
