Mandatory Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance

Position Overview
Sandy Mac Evolution LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to support mission-critical Department of Defense operations in Doral, Florida. This position requires a seasoned network professional capable of walking into a secure enterprise DoD environment and independently managing classified network infrastructure with minimal supervision.
The Senior Network Engineer will support the design, configuration, security, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of enterprise network systems across classified and unclassified environments. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Cisco networking technologies, classified network operations, DISA STIG compliance, RMF support, and secure DoD enterprise infrastructure.
This is not a basic network administration role. The selected candidate must be capable of supporting complex network environments, maintaining operational readiness, assisting with cybersecurity compliance, and providing technical guidance to junior engineers and Network Operations Center personnel.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot secure enterprise network infrastructure in support of DoD mission requirements.
  • Configure and support Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and related enterprise network equipment.
  • Administer and maintain Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for authentication, access control, and network security enforcement.
  • Support classified network environments, including SIPRNet, NIPRNet, and JWICS.
  • Maintain secure network operations in accordance with DoD policies, cybersecurity requirements, and mission priorities.
  • Implement, maintain, and remediate DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for network devices and infrastructure.
  • Configure, support, and troubleshoot Cisco IOS, NX-OS, ASA firewalls, routing protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise network services.
  • Support firewalls, IDS/IPS, network access control, authentication systems, and risk mitigation activities.
  • Perform network performance analysis, root cause analysis, and issue resolution across enterprise environments.
  • Assist cybersecurity teams with RMF documentation, ATO support, compliance activities, vulnerability mitigation, and NIST framework alignment.
  • Support secure network architecture, operational security, and classified infrastructure protection.
  • Collaborate with Information System Security Officers, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and mission stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support for network modernization, upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement efforts.
  • Support troubleshooting and sustainment of mission-critical network systems during outages, maintenance windows, and operational events.
  • Mentor junior Network Engineers, administrators, and Network Operations Center staff.
  • Provide senior-level technical leadership and recommendations to improve reliability, security, and performance.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and technical records as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
    • Additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
  • Minimum 9 years of overall IT experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Network Engineering experience.
  • Strong Cisco enterprise networking experience, including routers, switches, firewalls, Cisco IOS, NX-OS, ASA, and Cisco ISE.
  • Experience supporting secure DoD network environments.
  • Experience with classified networks, including SIPRNet, NIPRNet, and JWICS.
  • Experience with DISA STIG implementation, assessment, remediation, and compliance support.
  • Knowledge of RMF, NIST cybersecurity framework, DoD security controls, and ATO support processes.
  • Experience with routing, switching, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and network access control.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise network issues independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced mission environment with limited handholding.
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC, or equivalent qualifying certification.

  • Experience working directly with ISSOs, ISSMs, cybersecurity teams, and government stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior-level cleared Network Engineer who understands both enterprise networking and secure DoD operations. This person should be confident working with Cisco infrastructure, classified networks, cybersecurity compliance requirements, and mission-critical systems.
We are seeking someone who can step into the environment and contribute quickly. The right candidate will understand routers, switches, firewalls, routing protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Cisco IOS, NX-OS, ASA, Cisco ISE, network access control, authentication, DISA STIGs, RMF, and classified network operations.
The ideal candidate will also be comfortable providing technical leadership, mentoring junior personnel, and supporting NOC staff. This role requires someone who can solve problems, communicate clearly, document work properly, and maintain secure network operations in a highly controlled DoD environment.
Clearance Requirement
An active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance is mandatory for this position. Candidates who do not currently possess an active TS/SCI clearance will not be considered.
Work Location
This position is located onsite in Doral, Florida. Candidates must be available to work onsite in support of the customer's mission requirements.
Compensation
The salary for this position is $130,000+ annually, with final compensation based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and overall fit for the role.
