Job description

PacArctic, LLC, a Koniag Government Services Company, is looking for a highly qualified, experienced, and self-motivated individual to perform the duties of an Access Control/Security Specialist with intimate knowledge of visitor procedures. The Access Control/ Security Specialist will support PAC and our government customer with the Federal Bureau of Investigation Operational Technology Division (OTD) at Quantico, VA. This position requires a Top-Secret clearance and SCI eligibility and the willingness and ability to pass a CI Polygraph. Please do not apply if you do not possess that level clearance.

This position supports the FBI at Quantico, VA 7am โ€“ 3:30pm (Mon โ€“ Fri) that includes a 30-minute lunch break with the option to be flexible to cover the 8am - 5pm (early shift) based on mission needs and counterpart scheduling/staffing.

Access Control Security Specialists (AC/SS) must be flexible and willing to alternate his or her schedule in order to staff any of the escort desks during the designated working hours. The Contractors may be required to shift their schedule or report to an alternate location without significant advance notice. Demonstrating cooperation and flexibility when directed to staff an alternate escort desk during any of the identified work hours is absolutely necessary.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Contractors shall be required to use the FBI access control databases, including the FBI's Phoenix and the SOPU Gatekeeper visitor database.
  • Conduct Scattered Castles and/or JPAS verifications as requested.
  • Personnel shall be responsible for processing incoming Visitor Access Requests (VAR) and for entering the information into the appropriate database.
  • ย Must coordinate VAR information with the appropriate FBI Security Division personnel.
  • Must process and coordinate foreign visitorsโ€™ access to OTD facilities.ย 
  • Prepare electronic communications (ECs) in Sentinel as required.
  • Shall be responsible for FBI OTD outgoing clearance transfer procedures, obtain proxy access, and assist as necessary.
  • Shall process FBI Limited Access Request (LAR) paperwork, including coordinating approvals/denials with the FBI Security Division, notifying the OTD point-of-contact, entering details into the database, and preparing associated EC.
  • Shall issue badges and IDs in accordance with policy and utilize the badge system as directed.
  • Responsible for monitoring CCTV video
  • Conducting perimeter checks
  • Coordinating with Quantico Security Operations Center (QSOC) for emergency response and alarm activity
  • Personnel shall be responsible for the screening of visitors and their belongings with an X-ray machine and a metal detector.
  • Visual checks shall be conducted if the X-ray machine and/or metal detector is not available.
  • They shall complete all trainings required/provided by the customer to insure proper handling of this equipment.
  • Personnel shall assist with escort duties as needed.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must possess final Top-Secret personnel security clearances and must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) special accesses.
  • Minimum education required is a bachelorโ€™s degree in any field and three (3) years security experience in relevant fields, such as industrial security, physical security and computer/network security โ€“ OR โ€“ a minimum of five (5) years of experience in any security related field.
  • Must be skilled in creating complex spreadsheets (i.e. Excel, etc.), in preparing briefings (i.e. PowerPoint, etc.), Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly; must be able to provide security briefings and debriefings; must be able to provide comprehensive written communications.
  • Must perform all duties in an extremely professional, customer-service oriented manner.

  • TS/SCI Security Clearance eligible
