Job description

Epic Piping has an exciting opportunity available for a Material Control Coordinator to be an integral part of our Material Control team. Epic takes pride in our quality of work and has a goal of building our workforce with the most talented employees. You'll have an opportunity to work on a wide range of projects on a national and global scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Confirm accuracy of material information on spool drawings
  • Input material line items into JDE system
  • Release spools to production when all material line items are available
  • Issue Work orders when required
  • Address material shorts daily
  • Check/update weight and surface area fields on spool sheets
  • Maintain filing system
  • Assist with material reconciliations at job closeouts
  • Requisition material shorts as needed
  • Update statuses in JDE as needed

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED; Preferred
  • Experience: 2-3 Years of Experience in Pipe Fabrication Field
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and JD Edwards
  • Certification/Licenses: None specifically required
  • Other Requirements: Knowledge of Piping Materials (Visual and Descriptions)
