Practice
Acadiana West Animal Clinic is a full facility veterinary hospital. Our philosophy at Acadiana West is pets first, but we never forget there is an entire family that comes with that pet. Our goal is to practice high-quality medicine at an affordable price while allowing our staff to enjoy a rewarding career both financially and emotionally. Our practice is a small family of caring and committed people and your pets are our passion. Most of our team members have been with the practice for many years.
Position Purpose
Come extern with us!
Heartland Veterinary Partners' Externship Program works to provide 1st-4th year veterinary students with hands-on experience and mentorship to help have them 'practice ready' by their first day in practice.
Externships are typically 2 weeks long and Heartland will cover the cost of lodging if needed.
Length of externship is flexible & we can support your preceptorship documentation as well.

Eligibility
Must be currently enrolled in an AVMA Accredited Veterinary School
Must be able to provide student PLIT
