Guides students through identifying academic strengths and challenges, creating actionable study plans, building organizational systems, navigating course selection, and developing self-advocacy skills for communicating with teachers and professors. Emphasizes building intrinsic motivation and connects academic coaching to college readiness and career exploration.
  • Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction: Familiar with academic coaching methodologies and common challenges such as lack of motivation, difficulty transitioning between school levels, and underdeveloped self-advocacy skills. Adapts instruction using goal-setting frameworks, accountability structures, and strength-based conversation techniques to support students from middle school through college building the metacognitive and organizational skills for sustained academic success.
  • Effective Teaching Methods: Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with, explain material using multiple approaches, and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and student needs.
