This position is located in Urbana, Illinois, and requires workingon-site during regular business hours at the College of Nursing's UrbanaRegional Program site. The program is on the University of IllinoisUrbana-Champaign campus, about 140 miles south of Chicago.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Faculty and Student Support
  • Serves as primary support for faculty. Formats, proofs, copies, and prepares exams and other materials. Provides proctoring services for student disability accommodations. Prepares rosters for course coordinators and clinical instructors.
  • Assists Program Advisor with maintenance of student files and internal databases for high school recruitment, prospective students, alumni, clinical agency/medical facility partners. Follows up with students on missing application, registration, and clinical requirements. May assist with application and transcript reviews.
  • Coordinates student registration by providing students with course schedule and Course Reference Number (CRN). Troubleshoots student registration issues (account holds, permit issues, etc.).
  • Assists Program Director with biennial simulation lab inventory. Assists lab coordinator with ordering supplies for simulation lab. Responsible for setup and takedown for simulations and other lab activities.

Logistical Support
  • Coordinates classrooms for UIC College of Nursing Urbana Regional Program classes. Collects faculty textbook and course material orders and submits to program partners.
  • Manages student clinical placements. Completes agency pre-clinical requirements and monitors student compliance, in collaboration with the College's Compliance Coordinator.
  • Assists with Urbana Regional Program event planning, including but not limited to marketing, flyers, invitations, and tracking RSVPs. Supports all New Student Orientation activities.
  • Maintains advising guides and transfer prerequisites/updates.

Office Support
  • Provides administrative support to UIC College of Nursing Urbana Regional Program staff (opening/closing the office, answering phones, filing, scheduling appointments/meetings, data entry, etc.).
  • Makes P-Card and T-Card purchases for Regional Program. Processes office supply orders, purchase requisitions, and reimbursements for faculty and staff. Reconciles appropriate transactions using UIC software platforms.
  • Attends faculty and staff meetings and prepares meeting minutes for distribution.

Other duties
  • Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
  1. Bachelor's degree.
