Job description

Overview
Graduate Assistants perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: assist faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, and other miscellaneous projects; obtain materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials; prepare presentations for lectures; hand out assignments and grade papers; take attendance and record responses; conduct experiments; organize or analyze data; collaborate with faculty in preparing publications; assist with academic research; assist with the editing and preparation of manuscripts.
Responsibilities
  • Assist faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, and other miscellaneous projects
  • Obtain materials needed for classes including texts and other materials
  • Prepare presentations for lectures
  • Hand out assignments and grade papers
  • Take attendance and record responses
  • Conduct experiments
  • Organize or analyze data
  • Collaborate with faculty in preparing publications
  • Assist with academic research
  • Assist with the editing and preparation of manuscripts

Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled in a graduate program and seeking a graduate degree
  • Must be in good academic standing (i.e. have a minimum 3.0 GPA)

Maximum Salary
USD $19.00/Hr.
Minimum Salary
USD $17.00/Hr.
