POSITION OVERVIEW

The purpose of the Intern is to support the assigned department with continuous improvement projects. Project(s) scope to be career focused and have attainable deliverables by the end of session.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Execute projects well and with dependability, excellent communication, and teamwork.
  • Execute projects with an ownership mentality, devoted to quality and innovation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

HOW YOU'LL DO IT

  • Personal accountability - Keeping promises and honoring commitments, accepting responsibility for one's actions and assuming responsibility when dealing with problems, crises, and issues.
  • Individual efficiency - Effectively managing time and resources so that individual work is completed efficiently.
  • Communicating effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey clear understanding, taking into account the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Maintaining high level of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality with respect to company matters.
  • Complying with all Company policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.

WHAT TO BRING

  • High School diploma required, and currently pursuing a degree in related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Write content for internal communications channels including the company app, newsletter, and intranet.
  • Write long- and short-form articles for external company blog.
  • Support Gentex social media content through copy, pictures, and video.
  • Assist with internal digital signage for employee communication.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Familiar with AP Style
