Effective communication and patience are key to ensuring clients make informed decisions that best meet their healthcare needs.

What are ACA insurance agents?

ACA insurance agents are licensed professionals who help individuals and families find, compare, and enroll in health insurance plans under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare. They are knowledgeable about the different health plan options available through the Health Insurance Marketplace and can provide guidance on eligibility, subsidies, and coverage details. ACA insurance agents assist clients in understanding their options and ensuring they choose a plan that meets their healthcare and financial needs. Osborne - Licensed Insurance Agent

Osborne - Powered by Gyde

Raleigh, NC

Full-time

Posted 11 days ago

Job description

About Osborne and Gyde

Osborne is an ACA and Medicare-focused insurance agency powered by Gyde, an AI-native platform transforming how brokers serve clients. Through Gyde's technology, our advisors are equipped with intelligent tools that eliminate manual work and let them focus on what matters most — building real relationships with clients who depend on us.

We're growing, and we're building the team to do it right. Joining Osborne means stepping into a stable, well-established book of business on day one, backed by modern technology and a team that's invested in your success. Osborne has a 20+ year plus reputation of high quality client service.

The Role

This is a relationship role as much as a sales role. As a Licensed Insurance Agent, you'll be the day-to-day point of contact for an active, established ACA/Medicare book of business — answering questions, working inbound leads, handling renewals, and making sure every client feels taken care of. You're not starting from scratch; you're stepping into something already built and making it better.

What You'll Do
  • Work with Michael Osborne to manage and grow an existing Medicare and ACA book of business, with a focus on expanding revenue
  • Handle inbound lead follow-up and convert warm leads routed to you into enrolled clients
  • Conduct Medicare/ACA consultations by phone and/or in person; explain plan options clearly and without pressure
  • Support clients through Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) and Open Enrollment Period (OEP), plan changes, and benefit questions
  • Complete Scope of Appointment (SOA) before every Medicare enrollment appointment without exception
  • Document every client interaction in Company tracking systems same-day
  • Coordinate with the agency owner on lead distribution, renewal cycles, and client escalations
  • Maintain all required credentials on an annual basis - including AHIP and carrier certifications
What We're Looking For
  • Active life & health license in North Carolina
  • Experience in Medicare and ACA sales or client services — you know the products and you know how to talk to seniors
  • A sales and service mindset - you're driven to find the right plan for each client and get satisfaction from solving a client's problem
  • Competitive and goal-oriented — you track your numbers and push to hit them
  • Strong phone presence; most client interactions are phone-based
  • Comfortable working independently with a clear process to follow
  • Enjoys a hybrid work environment and is ready to learn in-person from an experienced agency principal
Compensation:
  • Base hourly rate (est. 40 hours per week)
  • Commission split arrangement — you earn a percentage of the commissions on business you write and service under the agency's NPN
  • Earning potential scales with the volume and quality of the book you manage
  • AEP and OEP will be your busiest seasons managing existing clients and servicing new ones; but these are stellar opportunities for you to grow a book of clients
Career Path
  • LOA: Building your track record, learning the book, and demonstrating consistent service and compliance standards
  • Writing Agent: Transition to your own NPN and full CMS commission rates as you demonstrate production capability
  • Technology enablement expert: you'll be using tools that are reserved for the best and brightest agents in the industry. Gyde's tools unlock agent productivity in ways the industry has never seen before.
Why Join Us!

You're not cold-calling from zero. You're walking into an existing client base that needs someone who genuinely cares. We back you with GydeOS — AI-enabled tools that traditional ACA and Medicare shops don't have — so you can spend your time on clients, not on paperwork. As we grow, so does your opportunity.
